Grateful Patient Visits Team
Nurse Education
Grateful Patient - Dr. Dhaval Patel was visited by a grateful patient and her family, for whom he provided surgical care in 2024. Nurse Education - Members of the YCMF Humanitarian Team provided education for Mauritania Nursing Students.

Humanitarian Trip On January 16, 2025, Dr. Tiru led a team of 7 medical humanitarian volunteers to Chinguetti, Mauritania. This marked the fourth surgical trip to the area and the first time student nurse anesthetists and their professor accompanied the team. Along with Dr. Tiru, the remainder of the team has traveled to Mauritania multiple times, dedicating their time caring for the people of Chinguetti and surrounding areas.

Life Changing Procedures were Performed The above two children, ages 2 months and 8 months, traveled several days for care, that they would not have been able to receive in Mauritania. The surgical team also performed thyroid procedures , hernia repair, skin grafts, colonoscopies and minor procedures. Each one of the procedures made a lasting impact on their lives.
